Fall on your Face with your knees to the rising sun.

A catholic hymn goes, "Fall on your knees with your face to the rising sun." It once got sung backward to the glee of all the children in the mass.

John Mark had a fall on his face tonight. After checking out our newly carved jack-o-lanterns John excitedly tried to tell us something. Next thing we knew he fell on his face hitting the plastic tray that sits under our plant. This resulted in a laceration beneath the left eye and a small bruise/cut above the eye. Dad preceded to take the family to the ER where John after a short wait, got his face numbed with topical anesthetic was placed in a full body soft restraint and had 3 stitches placed by a very patient Doctor. Mom got too close and almost touched the wound without gloves ;)

A very eventful evening. Prayers for good healing would be appreciated.

Here are some pictures of our happier fall adventures.

Summer Time Fun

Nothing says summer like baseball!

I love riding around on my bike.

I went camping with mom, dad and Grandma Helene. It was a lot of fun, our campsite was right off of Lake Michigan and we spent a lot of time at the beach.

Since I found out I'm going to be a big brother, I've been working on making sure I can take care of my sister once she arrives.

I also got to go to my cousin Seth's birthday party, I just wish dad wouldn't have made me stop playing to take this silly picture.

Hey John, make room for me!!!

Underwear

Mom and Dad would love to see me potty trained by December so they bought me these cool underpants. Some have elmo and some have Thomas the tank engine. I practiced taking them off and puting them on. I even when to bed just like dad but someone must have sneaked in and taken off my elmo's while I was sleeping because I woke up in a wet diaper. To boost mom and dad's confidence I proceeded to have my morning #2 in the potty. Then I got to wear elmo again! This time I kept letting mom know I was fine and had not got elmo wet but then I sort of forgot. I ran to her with elmo yellow colored and my shorts too. Guess I should try to go potty when mommy asks.

Here is my new elmo pants I liked them so much I tried to wear two pair ;o).

Get Everything in Line

John loves to line things up toy cars, blocks, etc. He is learning to do puzzles and continues to surprise us with new words. One of his new favorites is "Kygyl", referring to my brother Kyle, learned while we were home in MI this month. He took the picture of Kyle all by himself and proceeded to smash the camera's zoom able lens. I guess he needs to wait a bit more before taking pictures.

We went on our first camping trip June 13th -15th in the slightly mushy planes of Wisconsin. It was fun and John loved swimming in the pond. We forgot the camera which was probably best since we got rained out Sunday morning.

Above is a mix of recent shots. We're beginning to prepare for our move to 21 S. Waiola Ave #10, LaGrange, IL 60525 on July 1st.

Blessings,
Jackie
