Fall on your Face with your knees to the rising sun.

A catholic hymn goes, "Fall on your knees with your face to the rising sun." It once got sung backward to the glee of all the children in the mass.

John Mark had a fall on his face tonight. After checking out our newly carved jack-o-lanterns John excitedly tried to tell us something. Next thing we knew he fell on his face hitting the plastic tray that sits under our plant. This resulted in a laceration beneath the left eye and a small bruise/cut above the eye. Dad preceded to take the family to the ER where John after a short wait, got his face numbed with topical anesthetic was placed in a full body soft restraint and had 3 stitches placed by a very patient Doctor. Mom got too close and almost touched the wound without gloves ;)

A very eventful evening. Prayers for good healing would be appreciated.

Here are some pictures of our happier fall adventures.

Oh my goodness John, you need to be careful. I am glad you liked the pumpkin but not that you hurt yourself. I bet it was scarry for mom & dad too. Although Dad has seen his fair share of ER rooms in his life. I loved the fall pictures and glad the whole family had a fall outing.
Love to all,

How did we go from summer to fall so quickly? Hope John's wounds heel quickly and he isn't afraid of pumpkins.
Great to see you all in Michigan this last week. Love you
